Khiaban-e-Jinnah to benefit 35,000 motorists daily, says Aam

LAHORE: City District Nazim Mian Aamer Mehmood has said the newly-constructed 5-km long Khiaban-e-Jinnah would benefit some 35,000 motorists daily.
He was talking to reporters at the opening ceremony of Khyaban-e-Jinnah, performed by Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi here on Wednesday.
The Nazim said the road would provide direct access to Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Johar Town to Raiwind Road apart from benefiting millions of people residing in 16 private and public housing schemes.
Khyaban-e-Jinnah would help ease out traffic snarl-ups on Canal Road and other adjacent roads, he said, adding that the government would continue with its development plans. We will win elections on the basis of our performance, he added.
